Brenda Smith was born in Houston, Texas where she grew up in a large family. Her family was multi-talented in music through their voices and playing various instruments. Her mother sang on the radio with a trio made up of very close friends. Her father Rev. Ray Ludwig, Sr. ministered through word and music. He was organist/pianist for Evangelist Kenneth Copeland, Dr. Hilton Sutton and Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart through his life.

Brenda’s real passion for music began in high school when she met the love of her life Dennis who was a drummer and sang as well. Together they spent over thirty years as professional entertainers traveling throughout the United States and were also owners of SmithTrax Recording Studio. They were involved in praise and worship bands at several different churches and Brenda was the Music Minister for several years in Flowery Branch, Georgia at Zion Hill Baptist Church. She also provided praise and worship music singing at a local prison with Barnabus Prison Ministries.

For many years Brenda's hearts desire was to sing full time for her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She sang at weddings, funerals and other musical events. When she performed in clubs people would ask for "Religious Songs" from the stage and some how God always let her know when He needed to speak to someone. Many people who were down and out would come for prayer. Someone once told her that she was the only one they knew who could pull off singing Christian music and have people worshipping, raising their hands and weeping in a night club.

Travel days were over once Brenda and Dennis had their two sons Chris and Josh. They worked at a Resort Hotel just outside of Atlanta, Georgia on Lake Lanier Islands for seventeen years while raising their boys. Through these busy years, Brenda attempted to write songs but nothing ever felt complete so the club life went on. Brenda and Dennis relocated to Fort Smith, Arkansas in 2005 retiring from the club life. They settled down in Muldrow, Oklahoma where their sons are now starting their families.

On Christmas night of 2011, Brenda decided that it was time to write a new Christian album for God. She invited a close friend/singer/songwriter Marlene Pelt to help write the first song Bring It On Back To The Cross. She began that evening and finished writing ten original songs by the first of June 2012. This was the first time that she asked God to take the lead and create this album in His honor. With their God given talents and that of several of their musician friends they have known through the years, this CD project has finally come to completion. To God Be The Glory.
